Baroness Lister of Burtersett tabled a parliamentary question asking the Government what assessment they had made of the Social Metrics Commission’s report: A new measure of poverty for the UK, published in September 2018. Responding on behalf of the Government, Baroness Buscombe, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for the Department for Work and Pensions, welcomed the work the Commission had done and said they looked forward to working with the Commission over the coming months.
