The Social Metrics Commission issues notice of update in measurement methodology in advance of it’s 2019 report
The Social Metrics Commission’s 2018 report highlighted that further work is needed to ensure that its measurement framework can be fully implemented. This included work to develop improved approaches to measuring the extra costs of disability and equivalisation, and capturing survey data on debt and social care costs.
In advance of the publication of the Commission’s full 2019 report, this notice outlines our approach to incorporating methodological changes in general, and then outlines the specific changes that have been implemented over the last year.
